The Employment Series is back at the Heights Library!
Finding a job or changing jobs is a challenging prospect even in the best of economic atmospheres. Computers have become a vital part of any successful job search strategy, and the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library can help you acquire the skills necessary to be competitive in today’s job market with our Employment Series.
This series of classes is designed to help those who are looking for a job and has something for everyone, whether you’re looking to get back into the job market, change positions within your field, or find a position in a new field altogether.
In Searching for Jobs Online, we will explore popular job search engines and learn how professional networking websites like LinkedIn can help you market yourself to potential employers.
Our Resume Writing with Word class will help you create a powerful, eye catching, polished resume and a professional, customized cover letter.
In Interview Tips Online, we'll discuss online resources for sample interview questions, challenging interview scenarios, and advice on appropriate attire.
In our Online Job Applications class, you can learn how to fill out online job applications and search the region's largest and most diverse companies' online job postings.
And this spring, we have a new offering: Job Hunting and Business Research with CLEVNET Databases - an introductory workshop taught by Cindy Lenox, Business Librarian at John Carroll University.
Call, click, or come in to the library to register for one, several, or all of the Employment Series classes, and get a jump on your job search this fall.
