What's New?

The Noble Neighborhood branch exterior renovations are nearly finished, and the branch is open for business again. Thank you for your patience!

Noble Library will undergo an exterior face-lift from October - November 2011.

Now that the interior of the Noble Neighborhood branch has been spiffed up, it's time for a facelift. This week, Heights Libraries will begin the exterior phase of the Noble Library renovation. This phase should be completed by November 15, but that date may change depending on the fall weather.

“It’s about time for Noble’s exterior to match its beautiful, renovated interior,” says Heights Library Director Nancy Levin.

The renovation will include power washing the exterior, replacing and painting wood around windows, installing a sump pump system in the basement, roofing on the north side of the building, and tuck pointing the masonry. “We will also replace the front door and stone stairs, concrete walks, and some landscaping,” says Levin, “as well as removing the brick walls on the Noble Road sidewalk, re-grading the slope, and installing landscaping.”

From roughly mid-October through November, the front doors will be demolished and replaced. During this time, services at the branch will be restricted—no public computers will be available and all services, including circulation, will take place on the lower level. Regular Noble Neighborhood patrons may wish to use the other three branches in the system (Coventry Village, Lee Road, and University Heights) during this phase.

But, says Levin, “we will do everything we can to keep serving our Noble customers while this much-needed, short-term renovation takes place.” The Noble Neighborhood branch is located at 2800 Noble Road in Cleveland Heights.
