"Opening Doors, Opening Minds"

The acronym PDF means "Portable Document Format."  All PDF files have the extension .pdf after the filename, and they can be transported easily between different types of computers.

To view a PDF, you will need a program called Adobe Reader.  All library computers should have this program already installed, and many personal computers come with it as well.  If your home computer does not have Reader, though, you can download it from the following website:   http://get.adobe.com/reader/.

Once you have Adobe Reader set up on your computer, simply click on a PDF file to download it, then open it with Reader to view it.
