The 4th Annual Digital Photography Contest: "Focus on the World"

Our 2011 finalists have been selected! Check them out and vote for your favorite at the Lee Road branch until Monday, Nov. 7. Then we'll take them on the road! See them at the University Heights branch from Nov. 8-14, then at Coventry from Nov. 15 - 21. Winners will be announced on December 5.

We’re looking for great photos of the world both near and far!

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library is excited to announce the 4th Annual Photography Contest, "Focus on the World," sponsored by Cedar Center MOTOPHOTO.  Submissions for the contest will be accepted from Sept. 5 through Oct. 14, 2011.  You may drop off your submissions at any of the Heights Libraries.

Beginning Oct. 31, the finalists will be displayed as a traveling exhibition at each branch so that the public can vote for their favorites.

We will award five prizes to the best overall photographs (Color or Black & White).  All prizes will be redeemable only at the Cedar Center MOTOPHOTO.  Winners will be announced on December 5.

All participants are welcome to stop by the Cedar Center MOTOPHOTO for 50% discounts on prints and $2 mounting fee per image.

Rules:

• No more than 3 photos total may be submitted.
• Submissions may be in Color or Black & White.
• Photos must be 8 x 10 or smaller and mounted onto white 8 ½ x 11 sturdy matte boards.
• Attach your completed entry form to the back of the 8 ½ X 11 board.
• All photos become property of Heights Libraries and may be used for promotional purposes.

First Place Prize:

• One year membership to ClubMOTO
• One portrait session and one 10 x 13 portrait
• 50 free 4 x 6 prints from digital media
• 30-page 8.5" x 11" photo book
• 11" x 14" archival photograph of the winning photo
• 50-page notepad featuring the winning photo

Second Place Prize:

• One year membership to ClubMOTO
• One portrait session and one 8 x 10 portrait
• 50 free 4 x 6 prints from digital media
• 30-page 6" x 6" photo book
• 10" x 13" archival photograph of the winning photo
• 50-page notepad featuring the winning photo

Third Place Prize:

• One year membership to ClubMOTO
• One portrait session and one 5 x 7 portrait
• 25 free 4 x 6 prints from digital media
• 20-page 6" x 6" photo book
• 8" x 10" archival photograph of the winning photo

 Fourth Place Prize:

• $25 gift certificate to Cedar Center MOTOPHOTO

Fifth Place Prize:
