Cleveland Heights-University Heights
"Opening Doors, Opening Minds"

Dedicated classroom and enlarged computer "reading room" planned for your Heights Library.
We are in the planning stage...
Architects from Studio Techne, the firm that designed the rest of the Lee Road Library, have designed an expanded community room, high–tech classroom and production space for the former gym area in the west building on Lee Road.
This renovation occupies 4,000 square feet of former gym space. The space is no longer big enough to host a real basketball game, and the floor will not support a full collection of library materials. In addition we are compelled to keep sound levels low during Dobama performances below this space.
The architects have responded to the community by creating a much larger community computer room. Also a production area for printing and an addition of three small meeting rooms rounds out the new spaces are planned. Other areas in the library will be repurposed to suit the needs of the community with the implementation of this new plan.
We see this space as a small business incubator, a non-profit support, and a citizen's workshop. Grant funding is being sought to support an incubator.
