79px-vegetarian_dietMost people love to eat and have cherished memories of meals they’ve shared over the years with friends and family. If you’ve ever read Peter Mayle, Frances Mayes or Carol Drinkwater, you know exactly what I mean. Their memoirs, while not technically in the culinary genre, all describe the planning and execution of those meals in a very personal way.

The following list includes other authors who write memoirs, essays, and books about wine, bread, olive oil, Tabasco sauce and other random foodstuffs as well as the restaurant world. Enjoy reading them and look for a book list of fiction titles set in the culinary world coming soon.
